Understanding Me – Understanding You

Directions For Self – Assessments

The following assessment instrument is the result of over 60 years of in-depth research with people throughout the world from varied backgrounds, cultures, and professions. It has continuously and reliably helped people improve the quality of their personal and professional relationships.

PERSONAL ASSESSMENT #1

DIRECTIONS: This is NOT A TEST! There is no right or wrong answer. You cannot pass or fail. It is merely an assessment of your personality style and the behaviors particular to that style. There are no good or bad styles. Each one is different and has its own strengths and weaknesses.
Next to each characteristic, identify the degree to which you think it describes you as you perceive others experience you.
Keep in mind, this is NOT how you would “like to be” or how you “hope others see you.”
It is how you really think others perceive you – so for an accurate reading, respond as honestly as you can.

PERSONAL ASSESSMENT #2

DIRECTIONS: Respond to the seven questions by highlighting either (a) or (b)
as you see yourself.

Remember: If you’re rating for yourself, this is how you think you appear to others. If you are rating for your partner, rate how they come across to you.
